Prompt Answer: Excited

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

At the moment? It’s a lovely little date night with Mac: Steak N’ Shake burgers for dinner, a trip to the local nerd haunt for some new dice, Ritter’s root beer flavored gelati, and a few hours playing Diablo IV with them.

Prompt Answer: Love About Home

What do you love about where you live?

I like a few things about where I currently live.

It’s two hours or so from my hometown of Chicago. And is about three hours from my Papas’ house in West Chicago, or five hours the other direction to my bestie.

What I love, though, is the flowers that grow in the backyard, the tiger lilies and the teacup sized flowers that I don’t know the name of that grow along the fence running from the house to the derelict garage.

Living with my partner has many lovely moments. When we cook together and he laughs at my little happy dances I do when I get the seasoning right.

The family of bunnies that live in a little warren near the air conditioner in the backyard are adorable. Oh! And I love the massive, golden orb weaver spider that lives in the corner window of the back porch.

I love the cooling weather as we get closer to Mabon/the autumnal equinox.

So, yeah.

Prompt Answer: Overused Word

What is a word you feel that too many people use?

The word I think that is overused by far too many people is “fine”.

We’re not fucking fine. The world is on fire, a fucking villain is running for presidency, COVID is still a thing, and Nazis are on the rise again.

It’s awful.

So. No. We aren’t fine and we should stop saying we are.
