Prompt Answer: 3 Impactful Books

List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

1. Alice in Wonderland, because it was the first book I learned to read and the first book I remember being read to me.

2. The Clan of the Cave Bear series: I’ve read it dozens of times.

3. Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I read it every December because I remember my Daddy reading it aloud as a little one.

Prompt Answer: Influential Teacher

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

I have one: Mrs. White.

She was my first grade teacher and spanked me for reading. I got moved into a second grade class, then third when my reading and writing skills surpassed that of my peers. She didn’t get fired, but she did actively try to get me in trouble.

I also skipped fifth grade, I think? Maybe it was sixth. It that’s another story.

Of Soup and Sickness

14,123 Days Alive

2 Pieces of Garlic Bread Eaten

1.5 Hours Spent Cooking, Masked Up

1 Massive Pot of Zuppa Toscana Made

I have bronchitis. It sucks. The antibiotics are tearing up my stomach, but I’m taking them with food.

I’m exhausted and it’s supposed to snow overnight so I have to get up early. I’m going to bed.

Take your meds, folks.
