As a child, I had an obsession with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.
I had an illustrated, blue, hardbound version of the stories from the 1920s. I read it so often and was devastated when it went missing during a move.
I’ve got several copies of Alice nowadays, but I miss the copy I learned to read by.
What is your mission?
My mission is to leave the world a better place and leave a legacy of kindness and compassion.
What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?
If it is a healthy, well-rounded one where I can leave a positive impact in my wake, absolutely.
If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?
If I had a freeway billboard it would read something along the lines of “Stop reading this and start driving!”
Because I’m funny.
What is the greatest gift someone could give you?
The greatest gift I can give someone is my loyalty, my time, my friendship. Because I am fucking amazing (sometimes).
The same can be given, especially their time. Or yarn and books. That’s my favorite gift to receive.
What colleges have you attended?
I’ve only attended community college thus far, but hoping to go back sometime this year.
What makes you feel nostalgic?
Honestly, the holidays make me nostalgic, but for a place I’ve never had. I’m sure there’s a word for it.
What is your all time favorite automobile?
I don’t know if I have a favorite. I mean, the Supernatural Impala is up there… as is the Addams Family Packard style car.
But one I’d want to drive? Uh… a tiny house on wheels. Lol.
Share what you know about the year you were born.
Share about what I know about the year I was born? Uh… my mom was juggling lovers to the point of confusion on my parental unit for at least three decades.
Life was good for my parents. They weren’t in a relationship. They were friends. I’m glad for that at least. But my mom and the guy we thought was my dad were on the rocks, with my not-dad choosing a girlfriend over my pregnant mother.
Oh and that he got the number of the nurse in the delivery room.
I know that The Goonies were popular. And Gorbachev came to power. Beyond that, I don’t recall.
Are you a good judge of character?
I’d say I’m a fair judge of character, but sometimes I try to look past when people tell me exactly who they are and see better in them. It doesn’t always work well.
When are you most happy?
Surrounded by a small amount of loved ones, crocheting and talking.
Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
Hell no it’s not. It’s not anything like I thought things would be like this time last year.
Not in a bad way.M, but it is very different than my priorly-assumed professional and personal trajectory than where I thought I’d be.
I’m not sure where 2024 will take me.
