But I will tell you being prepared to be without electricity when you’re on SSRIs or other heat-intensifying meds is a pain in the ass. It’s the only true negative to being on a mental health medication regimen.

What is a word you feel that too many people use?

The word I think that is overused by far too many people is “fine”.

We’re not fucking fine. The world is on fire, a fucking villain is running for presidency, COVID is still a thing, and Nazis are on the rise again.

It’s awful.

So. No. We aren’t fine and we should stop saying we are.

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

If I had no limit to my budget and could sustain it for multiple years without dying of poverty, I’d open a bookstore/cafe with a very witchy lean.

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

As I’m myopic as fuck, the most important thing to carry with me at all times is a pair of glasses.

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

Ya know, I don’t think I will. I don’t feel like trauma dumping all the shitty things that have happened to me over the years.

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

I dropped $180 on my partner and I to go to this amazing place called Seoul Garden. It’s a Korean bbq place in town. We’ve only been there once, but now there’s another, much cheaper, Korean bbq in town.

But yes. It was worth every dime.

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

One habit that brings me joy is that I crochet when I am stretched thin to help me ground and center in a creative manner.

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

My parents were/are complicated people. I didn’t keep the bear young very young traditional, the multiple children by multiple partners, or succumb to drug addiction beyond repair traditions.

I do still drink a glass bottle of Coca Cola every Christmas, in honor of my late Daddy. That is one tradition I plan to keep.

Was today typical?

Overworked, in pain, anxious, nauseous, a little dizzy from a headache by the end of the day?

Yeah, today was typical.

How would you describe yourself to someone?

If I was going to describe myself to someone, personality-wise, I’d say cheerful, anxious, former imaginary friend, that is yarn addicted.

Maybe note that I change my hair color fairly often, have glasses, and am a Spoonie.

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

That’s an easy one! I’d go to London, England, with Reffie. Because lots of reasons.

Or Rhode Island.

Either way, it would be a blast!

What would you change about modern society?

I’d change punching Nazis back into a good thing to do.
