We got out of work early today since it is Good Friday. I haven’t ever really been in a family that religiously observed Easter, so I’m not quite sure what I should expect when I am traveling tomorrow morning.
As usual, I have a very roundabout answer to this. The too long, didn’t read version answer is “it depends on the city”.
One hundred and fourteen addresses since my birth in June 1985. I only really remember 1992 and onward, to be honest. Seven was a defining year; my little brother Mal was born that February. It was the beginning of my parentification, but I love him so much and am so proud of who he has become and the life he built for himself.
So. Where I am now? It’s the public libraries or this amazing local ice cream place that has some of the best damn ice cream I’ve ever had. Like, lemon cardamom, blackberry with lime, and cherry almond flavored. In Chicago, it’s Chiu Quon in Chinatown. Cash only, but fucking amazing food for as long as I can remember.
Edit: son of a bitch! I fell asleep before hittting post again.
Llama and I drove from Madison to a town called Steven’s Point to visit Herrshner’s. It’s an amazing craft warehouse with an attached retail store. It is absolutely a danger zone for people like me, people that are multi-crafters.
Lician, Brian, and I went to Ehelnbach’s Cheese Chalet today and it was amazing! I mean, I was absolutely not fond of the ‘cheese fudge’. Cheese and milk chocolate is not a flavor combination that I enjoy. But! We did get an amazing applewood smoked butterkase cheese, a habanero jack cheese, and another that I can’t remember right now.
In about ten hours, I will be on the road with my brother in law, Brian, to drive the four and a half to six hour (traffic depending) drive to Indiana one last time.

1 More Day to the End of the Week
We got boneless wings on special tonight! It was buy fifteen boneless or bone in wings, get fifteen for free if you ordered in the restaurant app. But they goofed hard. We ended up getting 30 of the flavor Lucian wanted, 15 each of the two flavors I wanted, and another 15 of the no sauced ones Brian wanted. It was great!
My brother and his hubby took me out for a post-birthday, yay for new job dinner tonight! We went to a local hole in the wall called Parthenon Gyros. Brian bought us all dinner, a gyro plate with extra tzatziki sauce and Wisconsin cheese fries on the side for yours truly, which was super sweet of him.
