Mac’s cake was way, way too moist, to the point where it was barely able to be frosted. I’m talking zero structural integrity when I tried to frost it this afternoon.
You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?
My perfect reading and writing space is one of those giant plush massive three person wide chairs next to a large window, with a lap desk or tray desk for my laptop. Some sort of side table holding a lamp or a floor lamp for illumination and a sweet kitty snoozing at my side, I’d want a fan going and a nice blanket to snuggle under if I get cold.
Extra bonus points if there’s either milky tea or boba black milk tea, or a large zero sugar cream soda. That along with some of what I call “French Dinner”, which is basically a charcuterie board without the board, would be perfect.
I hope to make Mac watch The Muppet Christmas Carol with me tomorrow night. I’m starting a new holiday tradition with them: glass bottle Jones Soda for with Christmas dinner. I need non-depressing holiday traditions.
Four days till Christmas and I’m celebrating Yule with my Pathfinder people. I made a gingerbread cake this morning and I like it well enough to eat a full slice but I don’t know if I’d make the same recipe the same way the second time around.
Thee is such a long list. London, New York, Narragansett, Salem, Los Angeles, Denver, maybe New Orleans again. Definitely a few places in Europe and the Mediterranean. Mexico City, too, someday.
Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
My first day sober was hell. It was the morning of my 21st birthday. I had flown the day before to Chicago with a bottle of Tullmore Dew in my checked baggage.
I had withdrawal symptoms for over a month, but I stayed sober. I’m selectively drinking these days. I have Rules, and usually just stick to Shirley Temples or cherry Coke Zero if I want a non-water beverage.
