Say you’re going through a rough patch and could use a little protection. (Like me!)
Why not use an edible spell?
Use basil and bay leaves or cumin and curry for protection spells you can eat; or for desserts try coconut and cinnamon. Dill can help too, or onions, garlic, and leeks in a soup or braised with beef. Peppers, radishes, rhubarb, or sage can all be used in edible spells-though I wouldn’t mix them all together. Tomatoes, turnips, yucca, and lime are all great, too!
Basil, tomatoes, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar are delicious together and can be a quick intention away from being a spell.
Honestly, potato leek soup is my go-to edible protection spell. My recipe is loosely based on this one, but with a lot more in it.
What do I add? Um. Shallots, for purification, garlic for protection, onion for more punch of flavor. I do steep bay leaves in before I blend it, a touch of fennel and a healthy kick of white pepper. I’d have to make it again for exact measurements. Oh! And some Parmesan rinds, for that extra no one can put an exact finger on it taste. It adds a bit of extra earthy salt.
Anyway, I’m headed to bed. Tell me your favorite snack or go-to recipe?
Take your meds, folks!
