13,299 Days Alive
400 Years Since the First Thanksgiving
It’s a complicated thing, American history. But this isn’t a soapbox to speak of the slaughter and decimation of native peoples.
Today, for me, is about family.
I’m home, back in Chicago, for the weekend. I get to see cousin Wixor for the first time in fifteen years tomorrow.
And I’m staying with Papa Ben and Papa Tom. They have two massive doggies who are sweet as pie.

Now we’re relaxing after the Thanksgiving meal and watching Hawkeye.
I’m going to unplug for a bit and enjoy my holiday.
Take your meds, folks.
