I got to see my shieldbrother Bob, his wife, Flora, and their little one, Wolfe today. It was nice to see them. A lot of time was spent reading to little Wolfe and talking about nerdy stuff.
I’ve got a killer diller headache tonight. I’ve tried water, caffeine, chocolate, and NSAIDs. Ugh. I hope it doesn’t turn into a migraine. I’ve got stuff to do this weekend.
I have no idea whether or not I’m trans. I’m genderqueer or genderfluid or something that means that while I was AFAB (assigned female at birth), I don’t identify as female.
Ugh. Too complicated. I’m going to go read. Or sleep. Or something.
Oh man was today a blast. Not only did I get all of my laundry done, I got to introduce my housemate Fen and their girlfriend Kimmy to an old nineties movie I loved called Surf Ninjas. The premise of the movie is just as goofy as one might think from the title.
But it was brilliant. And so much fun. And they both seemed to enjoy the campy humor.
I still don’t like Doritos locos tacos. At all. But Taco Bell messed up the order tonight and I didn’t become aware of it until long after the bra had been shed and the house clothes donned. So I just ate what I was given.
I’ve got some work changes coming up next week. I’ll be transferred to a new team and try to hit the ground running there. I’m hoping to improve my work number on the new team.
It’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day here in the US. And two days to the presidential inauguration. It feels like we’re just holding our collective breath, waiting for the other metaphoric shoe, or another goddamned homegrown terrorist attack, to drop.
So, we watched the absolutely ridiculous film,Jupiter Rising, this evening; Fen, their girlfriend Kimmy, and I.
And then, to recover some brain power afterwards, we turned to an old classic, circa 1994, that Fen and I hadn’t seen in a while and that Kimmy had never seen.
Image is of a tiny, read haired girl with flowers in her hair spinning around happily.
It was tacos for dinner tonight. Low spoons means low effort meal. They put on the MST3K of Outlaw on after that, so I retired to my room. I’ve no desire to see anything based on The Books of Gor. Reading them was more than enough.
I just read a short story that was a little Purge-like called Little Monsters: A Halloween Story. It’s got an odd, emotionally detached narrator but it was engaging. Wouldn’t read it again, but it was enjoyable.
I’m going to meditate and then crash for the night.
