I’m a week into my new job and I still absolutely love it.
Continue reading “My Merry Monday”This is the master reading list for 2020. I’m a little less insane in my goals this year, so there’s currently less than one hundred books. I tried to limit it to only fifty-two…but it didn’t work.

Man, did I overestimate my free time this year. I didn’t think I’d be changing jobs (twice!), nor did I think I’d be so busy! I didn’t hit 50,000 words on NaNoWriMo, unfortunately. And I didn’t even get one of my reading challenges completed.

1 Mild Headache
I spent the day with Linna today; a bit of a treat for me as it was basically like a second day of Mabon Celebrations.

I can’t seem to shake this headache. I’ve had it since yesterday afternoon.
I know it’s not from lack of caffeine or water. If I got any more hydrated, my kidneys would float! I think I’ll try taking more ibuprofen when I go to bed, see if that helps.
In better news, my diabetes is officially under control with meds and the dietary changes I’ve made! My A1C, which was a 10.3 in April, is down to a 6.8! I still have to take my meds and watch what I eat, but now I know I can effect positive change on my life. It’s not yet more lost weight, but it’s a damn good start.
I’m going to go practice on Duolingo and maybe read some? I’ve been wanting to catch up on my #200Book Challenge.
Take your meds, folks!
Still on a boat!
This is a pre-written post whilst I am on holiday with my Darling Wife and the in-laws!
So, while I’m gone for six days and seven nights, or something like that, I thought I’d run through a few of my favorite coping mechanisms.
Today’s is my secondary coping mechanism: writing.
I’m still on a boat!
No, really. I’m on a cruise. So! This is a pre-written post whilst I am on holiday with my Darling Wife and the in-laws!
So, while I’m gone for six days and seven nights, or something like that, I thought I’d run through a few of my favorite coping mechanisms.
Today’s is my secondary coping mechanism: reading.
Do I not have enough reading challenges for 2019? (Seven is the current count, with this one.)
Do I have far too much time spent not sleeping in the wee hours? (I’ve been awake almost 24 hours now)
Do I chill in the bathtub and read by the light of the shower light when I can’t sleep? (I don’t want to wake my Darling Wife)
If you guessed “yes” to any of these, you’re right!
