15 Bean Soup Made
1 Shopping Trip
Spock needed food, and I needed food for work lunches, so I had to go shopping today.
Since the weather has been so lovely the past few days, I decided to break in Spooktober properly and make some homemade soup!
It’s a simple prepackaged bean mix with seasonings that you boil for about two hours, but it’s damn tasty with the sausage, tomatoes, and onion added in.
Next time, though, I’m using a bigger pot.
In other news, Sparrow came over for an afternoon hang out once we got done with our respective errands about town. They kept me company and enjoyed some caramel apple cider while I prepped dinner. We watched the Riff Traks of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which was hilarious.
Then we watched the EWW series of all eight movies. EWW stands for “everything wrong with” and it’s a hilarious tearing apart of all the continuity issues, plot holes, and bad effects of the movie. It’s pretty funny!
I worked on Sparrow’s Seaside Blanket while they were here today. It’s nearly done. I just have to decide if I’m doing the final four rounds of blue or just ending it at the white.

Spock, as ever, decided he needed to help me crochet. It was cute, until seventeen pounds of cat kept me from turning the blanket to work further. Still, it was a nice way to spend a day: chilling with a friend and watching something funny together from a fairly safe distance apart.
I’m on day 402 on Duolingo now! I’m really having fun with Esperanto. Though I should likely push myself a little harder than just one or two lessons a day. I’ll get there. The important thing is to do it daily.
I posted the first chapter of my new fanfic today on both Wattpad and AO3. I’m really having fun writing it so far.J and Meg have been helping me hammer out certain details. It’s cool to have people that will read my writing and give me an honest opinion.
I’m looking forward to NaNoWriMo this year. While I may be busy on Samhain itself, I’ll be able to write all of the first if I so choose since it falls on a weekend!
What projects are you working on now? Writing, crafting, reading? Tell me; I’d love to know.
Anyway, I’m for bed. Take your meds, folks.
