12 Hot Pink Roses Gifted to Mama Reffie
1 Amazing Museum Trip
Reffie and I went to the Dali Museum this morning, after a quick drive thru nosh on some McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches.
It was amazing. I’ll post what photos I want to share over on my Instagram or my Tumblr, maybe, but not till at least tomorrow. The special exhibit was Impressionist painters! My absolute favorite!
I got to see real life paintings from artists I have loved for decades. Dega, Renoir, Manet, Monet, and more! It was utterly beautiful.
We went to lunch at this upscale Mexican place called The Red Mesa Restaurant. I loved their guacamole. And the enchiladas. And their black beans. And the salt-rimmed margarita that Reffie and I enjoyed.
We sobered up after our one drink by burning time looking at Reffie’s stunning photos from her trip to the United Kingdom earlier this year.
Then we hit up Publix for a beautiful bouquet of a dozen hot pink roses for Mama Reffie. She’s such a lovely human., and raised one of my favorite people.
We hit some traffic heading back to Tampa, but we made it in time for me to join Kay, her boyfriend Danny, and Jay for dinner at Datz. I got a macaroni and cheese bun burger. As in the buns were made of deep fried squares of the house special jalapeño bacon stuffed macaroni and cheese. I only managed to eat half of it.
Then we wandered across the parking lot to the local frozen yogurt place. One of those self-serve, by the ounce, too many toppings to choose from places. I got Reese’s Peanut Butter Fudge froyo and a little bit of caramel froyo. And so many rainbow sprinkles. I was good any only got a little bit of things, like three cherries and three small brownie bits.
After that, it was home again, home again, jiggity jig. Back to Uncle and Aunt Gator’s place. Where I am not lying in a borrowed bed, pleasantly full, and utterly exhausted.
I think I’m going to head to bed and get some well-deserved rest.
Take your meds, folks!
