14,006 Days Alive
Today was a good day. A day of family interaction, laughter, cake, and some damn good coffee made by my cousin Jared.
My mom’s side of the family, the Gators, got together today. Aunt and Uncle Gator, Cousins Kay, Jill, Kira, and Jared, Aunt Karen and Uncle Imad, who are Kira and Jared’s parents, Grandma Gator and the third Phyllis of the family, Grandma Phyllis. She’s Aunt Leslie and Aunt Karen’s mother and is a hoot.
I wore the dress that J and Melodie took in for me and got many compliments on it. Made me feel like a right princess in that dress.
I told everyone about my plan to do paralegal studies and they were all very supportive.
Cousin Kay has a birthday tomorrow. She looked absolutely amazing today. She wore this cute romper and her hair was just stunning. She and her sister both are so much fun to be around.
I’m a little sore, but I’ve hydrated to the gills so I’m hoping I don’t end up with a humanity hangover tomorrow.
Mentally I’m okay. A little anxious about being able to afford school, but otherwise okay. It’s nowadays I wish I had parents that could help me out in my educational journey, but my bio dad doesn’t speak to me and my mother isn’t in a position to help anyone but herself right now. And that’s okay. I’ll figure it out. But sometimes I wish I had someone I could depend on.
I have Papa Ben, emotionally, though. And a good support network of friends. So I’m at least glad for that.
It’s late. And I’ve taken my meds. And appeased the Duolingo owl already.
Take your meds, folks.
