Of Paint and Pretzels

13,434 Days Alive

I got to help J with a painting today. Not the actual painting of it, but more the facilitation of it by getting her a large color copy of the image she wanted to paint.

It’s going to be a gift for her grandparents or father, not sure which, but it’s a painting of her grandmother in her younger years with her toddler-aged father on a beach together. It was a picture taken by her grandfather and it is a lovely composition.

As per usual, I got to document her process as it began:

It’s nowhere near done, but will undoubtably be lovely when completed. The canvas is a thirty-six inch square and was primed with a color called “pale daffodil”.

I got to try mojo pork for the first time today. I liked it, especially paired with the black beans and rice we had.

Anyway, I also got a little writing and a lot of crocheting done today. So all in all, a good day.

I’m headed to bed as it’s minutes to midnight.

Take your meds, folks.
