Travel Log: Day 5, Part 3

Alternatively Titled: Of Turbulence and Train Rides

14,044 Days Alive

997 Miles Flown from Tampa to Midway Today

4 Hour Delay on My Flight

2 Hours of Heart-Pounding Turbulence Hit

Ooof. The flight from Tampa to Midway was rough.

But I’ve landed safely and that’s all that really matters, right?

I’m staying at a hostel for the night, praying that nothing gets stolen or anything bad happens. I’m low-key terrified right now.

It’s not bad being in the city… if I had my hoodie. Someone swiped it off the back of the chair I was sitting in. Thankfully, nothing was in the pockets of it. I’m still sad, though. It was a 4xl just my size zippered jacket hoodie and I got a lot of use from it.

Now that I’ve landed in Chicago, I need to make my way to baggage claim, then the El’s Orange Line to catch the train. Once I’m in the Loop, I’ve got to grab the Red Line to Grant, I believe. And the hostel should be right there once I get off the Red Line.

I’m…. Worried. But all will be well.

Take your meds, folks!
