I had my bloodwork follow up with my primary care physician today. The basic breakdown is that, to no one’s shock at all, I am still iron-deficient anemic. Also, my Vitamin D is super low. Not like, rickets low, but pretty damn bad.
So now I’m supposed to take my prenatal gummy vitamins, which is the only way I am able to tolerate over-the-counter iron supplements that I’ve found, with a bit of orange juice or lemonade. Citrus helps with iron absorption! And since Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat soluble, I need to be careful about my consumption.
There was more I wanted to say, but I have grown very, very tired so I think I’m just going to go to bed before I fall asleep reading. Again. For the third night in a row.
