1 New Marvel Movie Watched

So! I finally saw Into the Spiderverse! It was really good. Don’t worry, no spoilers here.

I’m still trying to catch up on Marvel movies and, while at Reffie’s house, I’ve been working my way through the list. We had a spa day at her place, where we watched some John Hannah shows.

I got a lot of writing done on my latest time burning fanfic. And I figured out a plot problem while I was at it. I think I know where I want the story to go. I also know how I want to get them to where they need to be. I think. I need to do a little more research into Westron and Middle Earth in general to get some of my facts right.

While I was at her place, socially distant the whole time, Reffie made this amazing chicken and spaghetti squash dish for lunch! I’m going to ask her for the recipe so I can give it a whirl at some point. It had sun dried tomatoes in it and was super good. On par with the chicken sausage acorn squash I’ve had before. Or maybe I just love squash in general! Heh.

We watched the end of Mcallum, finally, too. Only took us probably a literal year for us to finish both seasons. It ended a little shmoopy, but that’s to be expected. It’s a great show and was very much like an early CSI sort of thing.

We did face masks as part of our spa day. And had afternoon tea complete with ginger snaps! Such a lovely, relaxing day.

We decided on sushi for dinner. I ate a bit too much, I think, but I don’t regret it. And there was our favorite dessert after dinner: flan!

Imagine that being said a la Kirk:

We watched Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, as I said above. I think it’s a really good movie; it stands on its own and was a really good jumping off point for more to the ‘verse. And as a personal bonus, Nicolas Cage voiced one of the characters! I love him as an actor.

All in all, it was a great day.

In other news, I haven’t heard from Stalkertastic Ex-boyfriend as of late. You’d think breaking up fifteen years ago with someone would get them the hint. Oh well. Maybe now he’ll get it. Michael, if you’re reading this, kindly screw off. ‘Kay, thanks, byeeeee!

And for yet another topic flip, I’m going to meet up with a pair of friends from high school tomorrow. It will be weird to see them, to be honest. Ian was my first friend I made after the move to Florida and through him I met Megan, Sarah, and most of my old high school friends. I’ll be seeing Ian and Megan tomorrow. I’m nervous. Ian has absolutely no filter and while his tactlessness doesn’t usually come from a place of maliciousness, he can be… interesting. Megan is fine. She’s sweet and sassy and absolutely brilliant. I adore her. I’m looking forward to seeing them, but I am also apprehensive. Maybe it’s just anxiety brain being a bitch. But I have changed a lot since high school; so the person they might expect me to be, I’m just… not. Ah well. Tomorrow will tell. Maybe I’ll have fun despite anything else.

Other than that, I’m doing fairly well. My right side is still being the venerated Saint Jerkface McBastard of Asshole Land and hurting. Especially my right hip and shoulder. But nothing some time with a heating pad won’t fix. Maybe after I get back tomorrow I can do it.

Still no sign of Little Bee being born. Bubbles hasn’t offered an update and I’m sure that she is anxious about it, so I don’t want to bother her. I’ll check in with them tomorrow at a more appropriate hour.

It’s half past eleven now. I should go to bed.

Take your meds, folks.
