7 Cuts of Fabric
6 Skeins of Yarn
1 New Project
I got together with my friends Sparrow today for the first time in a long while.
They’re a quilter and a fabulous one at that. They made a quilt for me already, actually! I use it nightly now for the weight of it. It’s not too warm and I love all the color in it.
Anyway, Sparrow came over to my place so I could see the quilt possibilities in person. I went with a design called The Lonestar.

I went with the Lonestar pattern and the main background is going to be this beautiful floral fabric I bought years and years ago.
In return, I’m making them a round ripple blanket, like my Fireside blanket, but in blues.

It’s my favorite blanket I’ve ever made and the size of a queen sized bed.

I will link the pattern for it here. It’s one I’ve used multiple times.
Such as here….

Sparrow and I went to JoAnne’s for the fabric for my quilt and the yarn for their blanket. I’ve started their blanket already, but I haven’t gotten much beyond the first couple of rounds done before my brain said it was time to shut down for the night.

In other news, work was stressful but manageable today. I just did subs and eventually I’ll get faster at them. I still love what I do, I’m just hyper-critical of my shortcomings when I’m still learning.
I’ll get there. I have faith.
Mentally, I’m doing fairly well. Still sad; still missing Steph and Tink a fair bit. And Peanut. But I really do have to let them go, I think. I don’t know if Steph and I will ever be able to rekindle our friendship. I can hope so, but I think it’s best for both of us for some space right now.
Sleeping in my own bed is still odd to me. It feels like there’s too much room. And that’s with Spock taking up more space than a cat his size likely should be able to!
Anyhow, I’m tired. Not exhausted, just tired and a little sore from all the walking. I’m going to appease the Duolingo owl and then head to bed.
Take your meds, folks!
