The former cop who murdered George Floyd, a Mister Derek Chauvin, was pronounced guilt today by a jury of his peers. I hope he goes to jail for the rest of his natural life.

I should be staying up late to crochet, but I just don’t have it in me tonight. I’m elated and heartsick and tired and mildly nauseated, all for one or more reasons.

Today was a landmark say, though, and accountability for George Floyd’s death is important.

May the voices of those struggling with the terrible realities of being black in America speak louder than my own tonight.

Take your meds, folks.
