1 Amazing Evening with Shark and Brian
My brother and his hubby took me out for a post-birthday, yay for new job dinner tonight! We went to a local hole in the wall called Parthenon Gyros. Brian bought us all dinner, a gyro plate with extra tzatziki sauce and Wisconsin cheese fries on the side for yours truly, which was super sweet of him.
Dinner was amazing. I think my apartment with Xypher in Tampa was bigger than the whole restaurant, ha! We were going to go to Candy Cloud, a beverage place, but it would have put us over half a mile away from where we parked. Which, in high heat, with all three of us having headaches, and Shark and I having high pain days, I was not willing to do. So we detoured! To Le C’s Patisserie & Tea House. The image tonight is of their Black Forest confection. I might try the lemon one next time; I wasn’t fond of the outer shell, but the innards were delicious!
Im actually crocheting for the first time in…. Maybe a month? I know I hadn’t touched my yarn for at least two weeks before I left on my trip to see the Gator side of the family back in mid-June. It’s nice just to chill with friends, parallel play without expectation of being entertaining. It’s nice.
I feel like I’m wanted around the house beyond what I can do for others. I know part of that is my own personal issues, but it was also partially reinforced by the actions of others throughout my life. I am content here. I went so far as to clean out my photos on my phone. I have feelings about it, but I’m not drowning in them.
We’re going to make coconut chicken curry for dinner tomorrow night and I am super excited about it. There’s a really good grocery store here called Woodman’s Food Market that’s open 24/7/365. Sucks for the employees but is great for people with low spoons.
Anyway, Spock is demanding I go to bed so he can snuggle me.
Take your meds, folks.
