3 More Rows into Uncle Mark’s Two Tone Throw
1 Large Vacuum Bag of Clothes Unpacked
Today was a slow, chill day. I’m still learning to stop and relax. I’m just… bad at it right now. But it’ll get better with practice.
In the grand scheme of things, I haven’t done much today. But! I do feel accomplished for having unboxed the new over the sink dish drainer I bought for our home. It took me the better part of half an hour to get everything screwed together, but I did it!
I managed to get one whole bag of clothes and my clean clothes that I washed yesterday put away! Lucian kept me company for an episode of Ghost Hunters so I could have someone with me. I quite enjoy parallel play, so just having him in the room helped.
I’m in a weird place, mentally. I’m trying to figure out how to navigate being truly single again. I don’t mind it, but I am into see how the next few months unfold for me. It would be nice to have some local writer friends, or crafty friends, or something!
And work isn’t as draining as it has been, which is nice. I am worried about my coworker, Karen O., though. She lives in Central Texas and her town just got massively slammed with flooding. Maybe I’ll text my boss tomorrow and ask to make sure she’s okay.
I’m going to toddle off for now. Maybe finish another row on this blanket.
Take your meds, folks.
