1 Stop at the Dollar General for Groceries
I have a thing for fizzy beverages. I don’t quite know why. I just like the bubbles, I guess? Anyway, I went grocery shopping today, at the Dollar General. A single, 20 ounce bottle of pop was $2.50! Ridiculous.
I didn’t end up getting any pop. Couldn’t justify the cost in my head. I did, however, get the rest of the canned good for dinner tomorrow! I am planning to make turkey chili with beans! So, do not come at me for having beans in my chili. A) I did not say that I was making chili con carne. That I would not put beans in. B) I am poor and trying to make food stretch until I get paid in Friday. I do not have money to avoid padding cheap calorie-dense meals. C) It is my recipe. I can use what I want in it! D) To further my chili-based heresy, I am also adding a can of sweet corn to it! E) If you really, really don’t like it? Fight me.
Moving on! Mac bought dinner for us since I was neck-deep in homework until about an hour ago. I finished all my assignments for my so-called cake class, Student Success; that is, with the exception of the two reply posts to the Discussion Board that I have to do on two separate days. I stopped when I hit the four and a half hour mark and my lower back started to ache as the meds wore off.
I need more pink lemonade flavor packets. The water at work is weird tasting. Like, metallic and unpleasant. I want to get a reusable cup thing, one like this red one, maybe? I also just ove this spooky, poppy-themed water cup. Oo, and then I just found this moon-cycle, witchy one! Then I could just refill it from the filtered water from the cafeteria pop fountain.
I need to figured out if I am going to transfer my language learning to a Duolingo alternative here soon. For now, I’ll keep my streak before bed and figure it out later.
Take your meds, folks.
