We did a lot of errands today! First off was a stop at a local witchy store called Cosmic Delights. I picked up two $3 boxes of Super Hit and Sandalwood.
The store was awesome. We will definitely be going again, especially because the staff was amazing and the store itself is within walking distance of the new apartment. And one of the shop ladies, Karen, gave me a hug. I really needed one today and I don’t know why.
We went to Noodles & Co. for lunch because shopping on an empty stomach is always a bad idea for me. It was amazing! I know it’s just pasta and toppings, and I can understand Mac’s rationale of never going there because “why pay for something that’s easily made at home?” But I have really wanted to try it. So we went! This, of course, is after we tried to go to Portillo’s first…. And they were OUT OF HOT DOGS. How freaking crazy is that?
We went grocery shopping after lunch, to a place called Hy-Vee. I have to wear shades if I go in there again. I was legit shaking from anxiety by the time we left and I think it was because of all the noise and the harsh as hell lighting.
We made it home safely; just chilled together while we unwound. I got to video chat with Reggie, which is always a delight. The boys, Mr. Spock and Shark and Brian’s cat Benny are still getting used to each other. It was cute, though, that they both like hiding under my bed.
Anyway, I am exhausted. I’m going to turn on some Enya Radio on Pandora to drown out the sparse fireworks.
