Son of a bitch! I forgot to hit post. Again.
So! I feel like I’ve been stuck, work-wise, today. I’ve got a migraine brewing, but that could be the whole accidentally stayed up till 0630 this morning? Whoops.
We had a meeting at five Eastern with DW, my new boss Poppy, and the rest of their team that’s working on the case. My brain is mush, but I’m hoping to get to bed before one am.
I’m finally going to start my read of the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. I don’t know if it counts as a re-read since I never actually finished reading the first book? I dunno. Anyway, I managed to get most, if not all, of them off Humble Bundle a few weeks ago. Maybe more, but not having an 8am to 4:30pm job is kind of fucking with my sense of passage of time.
I am, however, absolutely loving working for Poppy. My schedule means whatever the hell I need it to mean. She’s making me take the day off tomorrow because I might have logged a slightly ridiculous number of hours in three days. Again. In my defense! We were putting out a two to three alarm fire, metaphorically speaking.
Anyway, I’m going to read. After I apparently need to spill a bit of low-cal root beer on my damn self. Ugh.
