14,731 Days Alive
1 Week into the Actual Coding Class
So this week is Halloween week. That means on Friday it is Bill6 and J’s 10th wedding anniversary, it is also J’s birthday, and the witch’s new year.
I don’t have the funds, or the time unfortunately, to go see J for her birthday. Or their anniversary I can, maybe, dig up two or three photos from social media from that event.
I am having a lot of really bad pain days in both hips. I also have a whole lot to actually accomplish this week. My to do list is longer than my legs.
The weather is nice. Spock is loving living on a heating pad, basically. He has the cutest little thrifted cat sweater. I know we’re having soup later this week again. The ground turkey, potato, onion, and corn chowder-soup-thing that I made in the instant pot yesterday was a massive hit. It’s basically a pound of ground turkey, a pound of onion, diced, 2 pounds of diced potatoes, 6 cups of broth, a tablespoon of jarred, minced garlic, and a few other seasonings. Oh! And a bay leaf. Super simple recipe.
All you have to do is brown up the turkey, throwing the onion when it’s about halfway browned; and then add two cans of drained, sweet corn, 2 pounds of diced potatoes, the broth, and seasoning to taste. Then, pressure cook it on high for 7 to 10 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes and then do the quick release for the rest of the steam. Serve with buttered bread and that’s it.
Anyway, my brain is miserable. My body hurts. And Mr. Spock wants snuggles so I’m gonna go.
Take your meds, folks.
