Well, posts AGAIN work a lot better if one remembers to actually POST them. Ugh
In my defense, I was absolutely exhausted. Poor Lucian woke up with a migraine, which was miserable, so Llama and I hit up the local botanical garden instead, just the two of us.
Since we needed to pivot the zoo visit to tomorrow, Llama and I packed a very hearty, but small, Ploughman’s lunch-style bento box with a few extras. We went to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens and paid the six dollars a person to get into their amazing enclosed space before wandering around outside.
We both took a frankly ridiculous amount of photos while we were there. We had a blast. I somehow ran into a couple visiting from South Bend and was able to recommend the gyro place that Lucian, Brian, and I went to when I first moved here. I also ended up “only” accidentally making friends with two people. One was one of the front desk/information desk staff. She loved that I had a physical coin to flip when we were trying to decide whether to do the indoor side or the massive outdoor section first. Personal recommendation: do the hot house first, then go outside.
I really enjoyed all of the textures that we saw. I should be uploading the photos once Llama is home safely.
I am trying to recall what else I had to say… iv got nothing! Oh well!
