Okay, first things first: seeing Labyrinth in an actual movie theater with Rose was awesome! I made Rose absolutely lose her mind with laughter at the noise I made when I saw the price of a movie snack combo. Like, that’s maybe a dollar less than what it cost to feed Lucian, Brian, and I on a Taco Bell run.
I could absolutely go on a long winded rant about capitalism, being stupid, the prices of literally everything right now being even stupider, and how I don’t understand how popcorn could cost you 20 bucks. But, I am exhausted. Tomorrow is another day out working outside the house at the eye clinic with Rose. And! Lucian and I are going to the movies tomorrow night together.
Somehow, my older brother from another mother (literally), has made it to the year 2026 without having seen the Jim Henson masterpiece that is Labyrinth. This, however, is easily rectified. Because I bought us a pair of tickets with the Christmas money that Papa Ben and Papa Tom sent. Did I also use some of that money to buy a new bag of mixed peppercorns so we could get rid of the sawdust tasting pre-ground stuff? Absolutely!
So, since I have work in the morning and it is going to be a very long day tomorrow, I am going to try to get some sleep.
