1 Still Under the Weather Kitty
So the power knocked out for about two hours or so earlier today. We were watching The Princess Bride when the power went out. Fen and I opened up the house and did some cleaning while the power was out.
I’m still working on the Jeweled Knot Blanket for Meg. I finished the first round of minty green around the interlocking rings. Now I’m working on the black around them before I do the blue ring around them.
I’ve gotten all twenty one of the initial motifs done and I’m working on getting them ringed to get larger before I join them together. I might do another seven just to have twenty eight motifs, but I kind of like the three by seven, since Meg is so tall.
We had a lovely fry up for dinner tonight. Fen made some oven roasted shishito peppers, squashed and garlic baked Yukon golds, and pan fried beef keilbasa. I made a mess of sautéed onions, peppers, and garlic. Pretty good meal.
We also cleaned out the fridge in the wake of the power outage. It needed it, badly, but now it’s all squeaky clean.
Spock is still having gastrointestinal issues. He’s barely passing any fecal matter and I’m worried for him. He’s still eating, drinking, and in good spirits. But I’m hoping the fiber powder that Meg gave me helps him soon. He did pass a bit this evening and he’s still well hydrated, so I’m just going to keep feeding him pumpkin and fiber with small doses of wet cat food. If he’s not better soon, I will take him to the vet.
Mentally, emotionally, and physically I am exhausted for some reason. I over did it yesterday and am still in pain today because of it. I spent most of the day trying not to fall asleep or reach for the pain meds.
Hopefully work will go well this week. I’m off to shower before bed. Happy Valentine’s Day to those who celebrate it.
