7 Days Working Without a Day Off
I am a little annoyed. One of my coworkers called off tomorrow and no one on my team was able or willing to cover the shift. So it falls to me, I guess, as manager.
I’ll be working seven days straight without a day off. Hopefully my paycheck will be pretty next week.
Today was hellacious at work. I went for seven hours straight. No lunch, no break, nothing but go-go-go. I’m feeling it today. I was hoping to relax tomorrow. Maybe get some laundry done and work on my current crochet project: J’s Monochromatic Blanket.
Nope. Oh well, such is the life of a manager, I guess.
I made dinner tonight and it was SO GOOD. Here’s the base recipe; of course I added a few things. On top of everything else, I added a can of pinto beans and about a quarter cup of Prohibition Barbecue Sauce. The ghost pepper powder and sweetness added a fantastic flavor to the chili.
Anyway, I already knocked out my “100 words” for the day… almost made it to 400 words just rambling. You can check it out here, if you like. That’s my reading and writing focused blog. I’ll be updating it every day for the month of February. Perhaps longer, if I can get in the habit of writing on a regular basis.
