2 Hours of Massive, Destructive Thunderstorms

2/3rds of Chapter Two Read for Class

We didn’t lose power this afternoon when a massive storm cell/frontal system ripped through the state, but we were the lucky ones.

The severe weather was BAD today. I’m talking 80 mile an hour winds in some parts. Several local buildings and a lot of trees and power lines were downed because of the storm. It was beautiful to watch but oh my goodness was it intense.

I did an extra discussion board post today for class. There was one classmate that no one responded to their post at all, so I thought I would. Hopefully, I get an A on this week’s discussion board postings. Or at least like a fifty five out of the possible sixty points. That’s like a solid 91%. Still an A.

I really don’t want to go back to worn tomorrow. I’m really struggling with burnout. And I can’t take any time off until June because I have to do my infusion appointments and have to use my PTO for that rather than make up the time. Ugh. I’d rather make up the time. I don’t like missing work and if it’s for a medical reason, I feel like I should be aLowe’s to chose? I dunno. I’ll talk with my new boss.

Speaking of work, I think the formal transition from the old management, James and Jamil, to new management, just Michele, is tomorrow. I hope she and I have compatible working styles. In any case, I should probably leave for work a little early tomorrow since there are likely to be lights out and debris still in the roads.

I’m going to appease the Duolingo owl and head to bed.

Take your meds, folks.
