I think I am settling into the new position quite well. It helps that I have two and a half years experience with our company’s site software for inputting records requests. It also helps that I don’t need training on our EMR (electronic medical record) system.
One coworker I have is leaving in two weeks and the other one, an older gal, is super new. like still in her ninety days new. But the whole site is new, so that’s actually a good thing. Hopefully it means they will ask us our opinions on making things better, more streamlined, as time goes on.
So. I had two random acts of awesomeness happen today. I asked Uncle Gator if he would help me get a new keyboard for school since my old red one from work fell victim to gravity. He sent an e-gift card for me to get what I needed and a little extra! I really appreciated it.
The second was Brian, my older sib from another crib’s husband just being an awesome dude. I overslept this morning, accidentally. While I was scrambling like a chicken trying to get ready in a short amount of time, he packed me a lunch, two drinks, and my breakfast shake. Legitimately, I don’t know if anyone has ever done that before. I thought it was super sweet of him.
After work, I was ready to just buzz my head in frustration. So I found the closest, cheapest hair place I could to get my hair cut and styled. It ended up being a Sports Clip and the gal, Christy, did a really good job!
I’m going to go appease the Owl Overlord on Duolingo.
