1 Physical Therapy Appointment Completed
Today was a rough day. I woke up with a squidge of a migraine, passed out in the marshmallow bean bag in the living room after my morning meds. And had my first physical therapy appointment today.
I ate two full servings of peanut butter M&Ms tonight.
I don’t mind that I accidentally napped this morning. My sleep quality since my accident at work has been poor at best. Even with the prescription strength meds, I don’t sleep well. I’m likely under-medicating myself because I don’t like taking pain meds and I absolutely don’t eat frequently enough to take them three times a day.
I got to snuggle with both of the kitties this morning, so that was nice. But I woke up in so much pain I was dry heaving as I tried to walk.
To make a long story short, I tore a tendon, bruised the bones on the top of my foot, and have a lot of soft tissue damage. Nothing but time can heal it. And possible surgery if the tendon doesn’t heal properly. There is the definitive possibility that my left foot will now pain me for the rest of my life. So. There’s that I learned today.
I also bought myself two new pairs of shoes today, to help make walking easier for me. I’m not allowed to be walking for more than 15 minutes at a time. Nor am I allowed to do any heavy lifting. Thankfully, I may be able to use the pool here at the complex and get some exercise in that way.
I am more than a bit behind on my reading, so I’ll be focusing on that for most of March. Finished my fourth story today. I thought about cheating, honestly, and pre-writing some shorts. But that completely defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?
I’m exhausted in many ways tonight. Short story to follow, but I’m for bed now.
G’night folks. Take your meds.
