I moved today. Couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends and loved ones.

Mx. Banana and their friend Charlie came to help Mellon and I move all my stuff from the third floor walk up in Chicago to Mellon’s place in Indiana. Uncle Comic was a godsend in that he drove and let us use his van so I didn’t have to drive Peggy all the way from Indiana to Chicago and back again the day before I start a new job.

Speaking of the new job, I start tomorrow! I think that 2023 is going to be a year of growth. It may be uncomfortable at times, but such is the growth cycle. I just really want to do well at this job. I’ve never worked at a proper grocery store before. Most of my service industry experience has been on food service or retail.

I start at noon tomorrow, at the new job, but I’ll be up bright and early to try and get the mess that is the piles of my belongings under control. So much laundry to do… but I can do it a little bit at a time.

We’re having a late dinner tonight. Just a potato hash with smoked sausage and onions that Mellon is making. It smells amazing!

I’m off to keep them company and keep an eye on Spock as he adjusts to the new space. He’s already learned not to rocket down the flight of carpeted stairs lest he go tumbling.

Take your meds, folks!
