2 Layers of Apple Spice Cake Frosted
Mac’s cake was way, way too moist, to the point where it was barely able to be frosted. I’m talking zero structural integrity when I tried to frost it this afternoon.
I ended up microwaving the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored frosting and basically pouring it over the assembled cake. There was vanilla frosting in the center to hold the apple pie filling in the center, and then I frosted it with the aforementioned flavored frosting and topped it with chopped pecans. Don’t get me wrong: it was delicious. But had the structural integrity of a piece of single-ply toilet paper. And Mac and the group loved it, so that’s good at least.
It’s only half ten at night and I’m absolutely exhausted. We’re on our way home from Pathfinder already after two intense combats!
Need more sleep. So tired.
I was hoping to write when we get home, but I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to, honestly. I can always write tomorrow if I go to bed early tonight.
Anyway, I am glad everyone enjoyed the cake, even if getting a pretty slice was an impossible experience.
Take your meds, folks.
