1 Massive Mug of Zero Sugar Root Beer Enjoyed

All my bills are paid. I get paid again next Friday from the 1099 gig. And holy hell was yesterday difficult for me. But I survived.

Lucian and I took a roadtrip down to Janesville to meet up with a Facebook marketplace seller. Ain’t no way I was going to go alone. I left my new cane at home, thinking I wouldn’t need it since it was a grab and go and come back home. And then… Plans changed.

We both needed a bathroom and something to eat. I had forgotten to eat breakfast entirely this morning . I did remember my meds. In any case, we ended at the A&W restaurant that is in Janesville, Wisconsin. They even had zero sugar root beer. So I got one. It was literally the size of my head. Definitely going back there or to another A&W sometime soon.

We then stopped at Target on the way home to get Brian some Coke. He doesn’t drink the zero stuff Lucian and I do, just regular. The fake sugar doesn’t do well in his system.

Anyway, we ended up wandering pretty much the entire store. The Halloween stuff was awesome. I wish I had a little more money so I could’ve gotten the super adorable blanket. I saw that had bats and moons on it. I did get a bottle that is Halloween themed to keep sparks fallen whiskers and claw tips in. other than the left hip screaming like a banshee, it was a nice day.

And the whole reason for the trip down to Janesville to begin with was for that Facebook marketplace meet up. I ended up getting myself a multimedia player. So, it has a three speed vinyl, record player, a CD player, a cassette tape player, and a radio. I also think it’s Bluetooth capable, but I don’t remember. Similar units go for upwards of $100-$150 online. I am happy with the under $50 that I spent.

Now all I have to do is collect some vinyl records! Grandma Gator said that I could have some of her collection or some of her dad’s old records if I would like them. I am super excited about that.

School is still going well. I need to get a little better about time management and structuring my days now that I don’t have a regular 8 am to 4:30 pm to follow and structure my day around. in some respect, it’s absolutely wonderful not having to drag myself out of bed before I’m actually well rested. But the lack of formal structure is challenging and it’s something I need to work on.

Speaking of things to work on: the living room! We have furniture now. The cats love it. The couch is stupidly comfortable and we even have a card table that we could have dinner at. But, everything is all squished around and nothing is put together the way it needs to be to be a functional space. And we can’t open the back door right now due to the amazing armchair that we got from the thrift store and where it is sitting

Anyway, it is late o’clock and I think I’m going to finish the chapter I was reading and go to bed.

Take your meds, folks.
