Of Mummies and Morons

12,910 Days Alive

1 Lovely Day

Let me start out by saying that I am proud of myself for making my word count goal today. And that the moron in question was a bad driver that tried to run me off the road.

Anyway! The majority of my day was spent delighting in Reffie’s company. We had a little nosh for breakfast, watched Wee Man and The Mummy, the Brendan Fraser version, while burning hours together. She made these amazing BST sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls for lunch. Thick sliced bacon, fresh spinach and tomato, just mmm! Fantastic.

I got another thousand words or so down in my NaNoWriMo project. It’s working title is Moral Fable. Brings me to just under three thousand words for the day. Not a bad start to the month. If I keep on trend, I could hit my fifty thousand word goal before the 28th! That would be awesome. Even better would be if I made it all the way through to the end of a zero draft with this.

I finally got to see MJ today. It’s been more than a week, I think, since we saw each other last. We figured out we’ve been talking since around the first of October, so only about a month. But still, it’s a nice month.

He’s having a run of nasty luck as of late. His car died, for reasons unknown, and I had to go rescue him from the truck yard for us to have dinner together this evening.

All in all, today was a good day. I still have a headache, though nowhere near as intense as it has been. But I’m still going to bed now as the time change has me tired and thinking it’s already eleven when the clock only says ten past ten.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Hallow’s Eve.

Take your meds, folks.
