Of Pain and Patience

I’m eight motifs into the twenty one of the blanket I’m making for Meg, the Jeweled Knot Blanket. It’s going really well. I may be able to make this pattern from memory by the end of it.

Here’s a picture of the center of the motifs for the Jeweled Knot Blanket:

Image shows a trio of interlocking rings in various shades of purple and pink surrounded by a light blue border.

I really like how it’s working up.

I’m in so much pain today. I had the opportunity to get the COVID-19 vaccine because of my preexisting conditions. Unfortunately, I seem to be suffering through a textbook poor, non-anaphylactic reaction to it. Soreness and tenderness at the injection site, pain radiating down my arm every time I move too much or bump it, chills, nausea, and a massive headache. I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday.

This weekend is Meg’s birthday meal. I won’t have her blanket done in time, but maybe by my birthday I’ll have the Jeweled Knot Blanket done.

Anyway, being awake is for someone else to worry about. I’m for bed.

Take your meds, folks.
