Im reading this edgy/dark novel called Hooked and I genuinely don’t know if I’m going to finish it. I’m five chapters in and am still mildly bored with the story.
It’s got this whole grim-dark thing to it, and ample trigger warnings to be had. It’s not a bad book, per se. But it might not be the best fit for me to read. I dunno. I’m going to give it another chapter or two to see if it finally hooks me, haha, or if it just gets tossed into the DNF (did not finish) pile.
Work went well, if slow. I got to shadow a veteran cashier up front today while my department was slow. That was interesting.
My pain levels have been riding pretty high the last few days. I need new shoes and better socks if I’m going to be getting 10k steps in on busy days.
I’ve got to be up in about six hours, so I’m going to head to bed.
