2 Retinas Called Pretty by the Eye Doctor
My eye doctor is a very strange woman. In our appointment, she told me how her first grandson, born a month ago, is named for Doc Holiday, told me I have a “cute freckle” in both eyes, complimented my “pretty retinas”, and congratulated me on getting me eye pressure lower.
It was a weird morning.
I took Mac to breakfast after that. We went to the local fancy pancake house called Cooper Creek. I didn’t end up finishing my meal, but I guess that’s a good thing? I used sugar free pancake syrup and only ate half the pancakes. I skipped lunch, had a chimichanga for dinner and couldn’t finish that either.
We’re at Pathfinder tonight and I’m so glad. Beau and Tina are feeling better so now we are happily invading their house for game. Right now, we’re fighting the Big Boss in a dungeon. Oh, and the whole damn party nearly drowned because of a stupidly triggered trap.
Poor Tom is having wisdom teeth pain and it’s so hard to see a friend in active pain. It makes me wonder if I worry people when I’m so open about my own mental health and physical health issues. Not that I should stop doing so, but maybe… I don’t know. Maybe I am too loud about my struggles? Therapy was hard this week. I even got homework from my therapist.
I’m really struggling. My prescription changed, so it explains the headaches that I get at the end of the day. But goddess only knows when I’ll be able to afford that! I’m just so tired of the constant struggle to stay above water financially.
I just need to keep going. Step by step, inch by inch, breath by breath.
I’m hoping combat ends soon so we can go home. I have to/get to be social tomorrow. But after getting my eyes dilated, I’ve had a headache since noon even with sunglasses.
Anyway, I’m going to put my crocheting away.
Take your meds, folks.
