NaNoWriMo 2020 is quickly approaching! It’s already the almost the end of September. Actually, now that I think about it, it’s Mabon! Officially fall!

Fen and I had a lovely dinner tonight of pot pies. We had ice cream mochi after as a treat. It was so delicious; Vietnamese coffee flavored ice cream mochi.

They picked up some groceries this afternoon, which was super sweet of them. We’re planning on making fake chicken curry for dinner tomorrow night. Fake in that it’s vegetarian “chicken” strips we’ll be using. It will be delicious. Maybe Fen will roast up some broccoli to go with it!

I had therapy with Vickie today. She thinks I should do the EMDR therapy in conjunction with her to try and help me deal with some of my issues. EMDR stands for “Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing”. I don’t know much about it but it has been recommended to me before.

One of the things I’m struggling with is expressing and letting go of my anger at things that have happened in my life. Trauma, abuse, sexual assault, homelessness, etc.; just… a lot of shit to slog through.

One of the things I’m struggling with is the predatory and abusive behavior of my parental units over the years. Some of the behaviors continue to this day and it makes me uncomfortable and angry that it continues. It’s that anger that I need to express in a productive manner and then be able to let it go.

I don’t know if the EMDR therapy will work, but I’m more than willing to give it a try.

Project wise, I worked a little on Sparrow’s Seaside Blanket this evening, before dinner, but my main focus was trying to get the outline of my story transferred from the Story Bible to the Scrivener project on my computer.

I still have a little bit of research to do about opium overdose for the story, but beyond that I should be done with the majority of the pre-writing stuff.

To decompress after a long day at work and therapy, we watched Murder She Wrote during and after dinner. I quite like Jessica Fletcher’s character. I hope I’m similarly fond of where I’m living as she is.

Anyway, it’s bedtime for me. I’m tired and my lower back is going bananas with cramps. What I wouldn’t give for a heated blanket or really big heating pad right now.

Oh well. I’m off to bed.

Take your meds, folks!
