So I made cheaters Caprese salad this evening. Basil, tomato, mozzarella pearls, spring mix, white onion, and balsamic vinaigrette. Super easy to make and eat. It gets better the longer it rests, too, so the leftovers will be awesome tomorrow.
I made more progress on Gwendolyn’s Jeweled Knot Blanket today. Did the last of the initial black rounds and started on mitering on the blue along two edges before wrapping that with black.
This is how one eleven inch square turned out:

So far, I have to figure out how I’m going to border it larger. It’s certainly long enough, at seventy-seven inches long so far, but because it’s only 3 squares wide, it’s currently sitting at 33 inches wide. I like how long it is and will be simply adding a thick, ten to twelve inch border on both sides to compensate.
The un-mitered motifs laid out look like this:

Anyway, it’s late and I have work and a doctor’s appointment in the morning. So I’ve appeased the Duolingo owl for the night and now I’m for bed after a lovely cup of tea with my housemate Fen.
Take your meds, folks.
