1 New Crochet Project

I’m making something! That’s not really news; I’ve always got something on the hook.

I had a job interview today. It’s a… job. With not good pay. And an hour plus commute each way daily. So, while that interview went really well, I think, I also put in an application for employment at a craft store. The red store chain, not the green. And sure as hell not Hobby Lobby. It’s only fifteen minutes away or so by train. Two and a half miles, I think?

It’s not ideal, but I need a job. I crave a job. I’m in dire straits without a job here soon.

I also picked up a 104 year old copy of The Odyssey for four bucks at a used bookstore on my way back home. It’s coming along pretty well, so far.

I’m working on my Godfather’s Gift: a buffalo plaid blanket using the same pattern I used for Papa Tom’s blanket.

I really want to try other color combinations with this. Like two purples and a black, or a white, grey, black mix? I need more Michael’s gift cards in my life.

I also need to sit down and write thank you letters to my loved ones for all the support they’ve given for my transition to Chicago.

Bianco and I watched a few episodes of Future Man this evening. It’s a decent show! I was surprised because I don’t normally dig the adolescent humor stuff, but it’s a fairly well done show. I’m interested in watching more and to see how the characters grow.

I’m thinking I’m going to do laundry tomorrow. Maybe Sunday? Depends on how I’m feeling. It was super hot today, so I’m not about to risk heat stroke just for some clean underwear. Not that I’m out of clean clothes yet. But I do need to do laundry.

I need to go grocery shopping as well, for the week. Figure out what I’m going to make.

I’ve got to hammer out a meal plan with Bianco. And then, I think, I will head to bed.
