Our systems went down at work today for over two hours! So frustrating. Especially when we had more than three hours of servers being down earlier this week. Just not fun.
Work next week will be interesting. We’re getting transferred to a new team so my current Boss (area manager) JH and my BossBoss JS (the regional supervisor) are not going to be our upper management team anymore. The new person is an assumed woman named Michelle. But she’ll be BossBoss without us having an area manager anymore. And their boss, my BossBosssBoss whose name is Brittany, will be in Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week. So. That will be fun. And I’m on my own Monday because my coworker needs the day off. Gonna be drowning, but maybe it’ll be okay?
Tomorrow before game, I’ll be hitting up both JoAnne’s and Michael’s with Tina to check out the yarn situation… if there’s any left. I am devastated that they’re closing, but it’s basically capitalism and the private equity company’s fault entirely that they’re going bankrupt. Yay commercial idiocy and greedy ruining a good thing. I still refuse, so long as there are other, viable alternatives, to shop at fucking Hobby Lobby. Bastards, the lot of them.
I’ve got about fourteen weeks to finish Uncle Mark’s Two-Toned Throw. I just started it. Like, I’m five rows into the pattern. I’m doing Daisy Farm Craft’s Griddle Stitch Inverse Squares pattern. It’s such a good, dense fabric when worked up. It’s the same griddle stitch that is used for their gingham pattern as well. You can find that pattern here. I highly recommend Daisy Farm Crafts for their patterns.
Speaking of farms, Aaron and Ali have started raising bunnies. So now it’s cats, dogs, chickens, bunnies, and a full food garden that they’re managing. I get overwhelmed just thinking about it! I can’t keep a fucking chia pet alive, never mind a full food garden. I wish I could though. Gardening just isn’t one of my talents.
I’m going to appease the Duolingo owl and head to bed
