1 Positive Outlook for Work Tomorrow

I’m damned determined for this week to be better than last. So shall it be. It’s going to be an awesome week and I’m going to rock it out.

I was going to read more of The Mermaid’ Daughter tonight. It’s an odd read about a soprano opera singer, Kathleen, and her girlfriend Harry. Kind of a re-telling of The Little Mermaid. It’s told in switching first person point of view. It’s got an interesting “other”, thus far unnamed character that refers to itself/themselves in the plural sense, but I’m not yet sure what it is. There will be a review here and on Goodreads when I’m done.

Today is Phoenix’s twenty-fifth birthday. It’s so odd. I can remember the day he was born. I wanted to stay home from school but my adults wouldn’t let me, if memory serves correctly. He’s gotten so… big. Grown so much. When I was up there in 2019, we actually shared a hard beverage. He had a beer and I an alcoholic apple cider. It was, and still is, surreal to think my brothers are all old enough to drink.

Mal turns twenty-nine next month. I’m hoping to go down and see them the weekend before. Hopefully that will pan out well. And then Baby Bubble’s birthday is on the twenty-fifth of next month. I hope to see them again for that, too.

I spent most of my day up at J and Bill6’s place. I learned two new board games this weekend: Clank and Quirky Circuits.

Image is of an odd board game with a roomba with a cat on it, cards indicating movement directions, and a book of challenge boards.

I’m going to go read before I crawl into bed for the night. J and Bill6 lent me a copy of “Lamb: The Gospel according to Biff”. It’ll be an interesting read!

Tomorrow will be brighter days. So shall it be!

And take your meds, folks.
